​​​​🐾  Nina's Story​

 

Nina came to her our rescue as a surrendered dog from California in March 2021 at 1 yr old. She  was fostered with her dog walker who then adopted her in 2024.  Now, due to a complicated life change Nina finds herself needing a new home.  Here's what her owner has to say about her.

 

Nina is a sweet energetic goofball once you get to know her and build trust. She does resource guard her things so would be best suited in a home with a big yard and no other dogs in the home. She does get along with other dogs outside of the home on walks but in her space she is very territorial of her food, toys etc…… It takes time to get to know her and occasionally there are some people she just doesn’t like.  She is great in the car and out on walks but will bark at anyone or anything that comes close to the car.  She can be ok with cats (she lives with 4 right now) but will chase them away if they get too close to her stuff. She would make a great companion for someone who loves to hike/walk that has knowledge about dog behavior and is confident enough to be her leader. 

 

She will come with everything she needs. Toys, leashes, bed, raincoat etc…

Nina's adoption fee is a small donation to the Small Dog Rescue BC.
