Gucci - 10 1/2 yr old 13 lb Chihuahua mix spayed female

Gucci is an absolute sweetheart! Coming to us at a whopping 26lbs her vet tech foster mom has done an amazing job getting her down to her goal weight of 13lbs!

 

Gucci comes by her name honestly wanting to be the "Princess" of the household.  She is always excited to meet her adoring human fans and enjoys the attention complete with lots of pets! She will paw at anyone to receive more. She is on a strict diet to ensure she maintains a healthy weight of approximately 12-13 lbs and even enjoys her morning runs now! She does need to go on frequent walks to avoid accidents in the house due to her renal disease. She is on for-life medication for her kidneys (Fortekor), liver (Aventi liver), gallbladder (Ursodiol).  The cost for this medication is approximately $ 100 - $170/ month depending on possible support from SDRBC.  Also she is on a low fat vet diet which will need to be continued.

SDRBC offers a sleepover period, usually 1-2 weeks, to make sure of a match. 

 

Gucci's adoption fee will be a donation towards her food/medication of $ 300.00.  She is spayed and microchipped.  

She is currently being fostered in Coquitlam, BC.  ​​
