Dante’s ideal home will be with an experienced, patient dog owner who understands that his transition will take time, structure, and consistency. He would benefit greatly from living with a calm, confident mentor dog who can help him learn appropriate social skills and show him how to settle into a balanced routine. Dante can become overstimulated easily when meeting new dogs and even though he's friendly doesn’t always understand personal space, so his new family will need to provide clear boundaries, calm leadership, and a predictable daily routine from the very beginning. A home that understands canine body language and is willing to thoughtfully manage introductions and interactions will help Dante feel secure and learn how to navigate the world with more confidence.

Dante’s new family should also be committed to helping him become more independent while giving him plenty of patience and reassurance as he adjusts to life without his former owner. Due to spending all of his time with his previous owner, he has developed separation anxiety and will need a gradual, thoughtful approach to being alone. His adopters should be willing to continue building his confidence and would be encouraged to enroll him in an obedience class or two to strengthen communication, provide mental stimulation, and help him learn appropriate behaviours. Above all, Dante needs someone who will see the sweet dog underneath his big feelings.

Dante has had a couple of homes in his 6 years......first coming from a couple on Vancouver Island where was rehomed to his owner who sadly recently passed away unexpectedly, leaving this sweet 8-year-old miniature poodle suddenly without the person he had spent his life by his side.

Dante's adoption fee is $856.00 (including pst).
