Pearl & Pepper

Owner moved and didn't take them with her so these 2 little easy going golden oldies won the SDRBC doggy lotto, hitched a ride to BC from California and are now looking for their forever home.

This is what Pearl & Pepper's foster mom, Shelagh has to say about them.

I have been fostering these two little chihuahua mix dogs, mom and son, aged about 14 and 12.  They have been together forever and so, of course are a bonded pair.  They are small, Pearl (mom) 10 pounds and Pepper (son) 8 pounds.  Pepper loves to be his mom's shadow

Here, they have easy access to outside, just one step out to the fenced yard and that would be the ideal situation.  Pepper has an issue with his hind leg so a home without a lot of stairs would be best or where he can be carried up and down the stairs.

They are quiet, and mostly housetrained, but I let them out frequently.  They are dry at night and are crate trained.  They love their food, like to sleep and love to cuddle and lick.  They have met cats, but my cats are not a fan of them.

They have been good with a visiting six year old , but probably better with older children if on a full time basis.

SDRBC allows a sleepover period. Our goal is to make sure everyone agrees on the match.

Pearl & Pepper's  adoption fee is $600.00 (incl pst) and goes toward their spay/neuter, extensive dentals, full panel bloodwork incl heartworm & tickborne diseases (negative), microchips, worming and transport costs to BC from California.

All SDRBC dogs receive a free month of Trupanion pet insurance.

They are currently being fostered in Langley BC. If you'd like to see if they might be a match then please contact Karen at
