Lucille is smooth coated terrier mix approx 3-1/2 yrs old (15lbs) who was found wandering as a pregnant stray in California with a foot that looked injured.  Upon her vet check up it was noted she had what was thought to be neurological damage.  She gets along fine, sometimes walking/running on 3 legs.

Lucille came into foster in late February and birthed 4 beautiful puppies (who have now found homes).  She was an amazing mom who loved to play with her pups.

While she is the most loyal girl who loves to snuggle with her foster mom and dad, she can be leary of strangers and people and other dogs on the street.  We think her time on the streets was a hard one (and may have caused her injury).  She will need an adult oriented home and would love to be the only dog or with one who could allow her the patience needed to adapt to her new environment.  A rural home would be best as a residential setting might be too much for her on walks etc.  Someone who would be open to doing some rehab & training would be welcomed.

SDRBC allows a sleepover period to make sure of a match before completing the adoption.

Lucille's adoption fee is $ 550.00 (incl pst) and includes her bloodwork, heartworm & tick testing, spay, da2pp and rabies shots and microchip.

Email Karen at to see if she might be a good match.
