​​Penny - 4 yr old 8 lb Chihuahua mix spayed female

Penny is a shy 8lb chihuahua cross, with lots of love to give.  Penny is house trained and has never had an 'accident' at her foster moms house.  She easily adapted to going out to the yard to take care of her 'business'. Other dogs in the same household, have been a non- issue, and she seems to make friends easily with other dogs (unknown about cats). Although, she can be quite shy and nervous when she first meets new people, she learns to love head scratches and pets, usually in a week or two.  Her confidence with new people and things, is growing daily.  She loves to lay on the back of the sofa, and tap her foot gently on her foster mom's head, asking for a pet. Sadly, Penny is very frightened of a leash.  Perhaps a bad memory for her; we do not know. Initially, this means she needs a secured yard or balcony for her outdoor time. Penny is looking forward to her own adult family, and forever home...💓

SDRBC offers a sleepover period, usually 1-2 weeks, to make sure of a match. 

 

Penny's adoption fee is $ 535.00. She is  spayed, had a recent dental, up to date on shots (da2pp & rabies) and microchipped.  All SDRBC dogs get a free month of Trupanion insurance. She is currently located in Surrey, BC.
